Together (2017) is A TEN MINUTES MOVEMENT BASED performance MADE IN COLLABORATION WITH LUCY BEECH. presented as a demonstration of a multi-layered game, the work sees a group of performers, working in couples, as they collectively construct A SET OF CAREFULLY DEVISED ILLUSIONS using foley techniques and stage combat. The action becomes a sort of therapeutic group exercise for the participants to negotiate feelings of competition and resentment.
Performed by Clara Andersson, Rob Crosse, Eden Domonique, Ellen Hobson, Yasmine Holness-Dove, Paul Huntley Thomas, Melanie Revill, Charles Sandford and Timothy Taylor. Created by lucy beech and edward thomasson Together was commission by tate and WAS PERFORMED WEEKLY AT TATE BRITAIN BETWEEN APRIL AND JUNE 2017 AS PART OF OUR EXHIBITION 'together' AT THE GALLERY AS part of IT'S ART NOW SERIES.
